Crested Butte Bike Week
Since the 1970s, when locals started retrofitting old Schwinn paperboy bikes with multiple gears, Crested Butte has helped write the history of mountain biking and is home to the Mountain Bike Hall of Fame. Today, some of the sport’s most thrilling chapters are still unfolding in the Gunnison Valley, with both classic and cutting-edge events on the planet’s most legendary singletrack trails.

A Benefit for the Adaptive Sports Center and Crested Butte Ski Club
7 Hours of the Banana will be held on Twister this year!!!! Get your bump skiing legs ready!
How it works: By 8:30 a.m. all participants must have located their skis at the designated area a short ways uphill of the starting line. Le Mans start at 8:50 a.m.: participants will run up to their skis and traverse above both chairlifts down to the Silver Queen lift. Competitors must use the dedicated lift line; do not use other lines open to the public (the Silver Queen will open early for the start). After riding the Silver Queen lift, competitors must ski/ride through Monument Gate and ski Twister. Competitors must stay on Twister! Your lap will be counted when you go through the staging area before you load onto the Twister lift. Please remember if you go too fast through the timing tent, your lap will not be counted! If you don’t hear a beep–you’re going to fast!
